Homemade Ice Lollies for Little Ones
Homemade ice lollies are very easy to make and they can be made to be very healthy too. You could use a fruit juice (or water) and pop some cut up fruit into the mix. Or you could make your very own fruit smoothie and freeze the mixture up into ice lollies. If you buy your own lolly moulds like these ones – this mould is actually the exact ones we used – then you can make many and reuse the moulds! You can make different flavours each time too.
Homemade Ice Lollies
Fruit juice or water – we used apple juice
Fruit! We used raspberries and strawberries
Other fruit you could use:
All we did was pour the apple juice into the ice lolly moulds then cut up the strawberries into quarters. Then we plopped the fruit into the fruit juice and stored them in the freezer. Once they are completely frozen then they are ready for you to eat and enjoy.
Next time we are going to be trying out two flavour ice lollies. An orange juice ice lolly with pieces of satsuma and orange inside. Plus a strawberry and banana smoothie flavour with added chopped up strawberries. How delicious do these sound?
When you take the ice lollies out of the moulds just make sure you take them out carefully. Sometimes these plastic moulds can snap if you pull them out too hard.
The kids really enjoyed making these! Plus they only take five minutes to make so a perfect activity to do if you don’t have a lot of time.
